How to Make a Business Card Holder:

• Choose a trendy or plain designed fabric of your liking. Dig through some scrap material left over from other projects, or if you are going to your local fabric outlet pick up a fat quarter
• Some fabric outlets have various size pieces already cut or left over from the bolt they roll up and sell at discount prices
• Create your pattern. You will need a piece of paper, ruler, and a pencil
• Measure a rectangle 4 inches wide by 9 inches long and cut out
• Fold your paper rectangle in three equal parts
• At one end of a third take a can good and curve both edges and trim curved edge with paper
• Pin pattern to fabric and cut. You will need two pieces of fabric and one piece of fusible interfacing
• Fuse interfacing to wrong side of one piece of fabric. Make sure you place the interfacing shiny side down on the fabric
• Right sides together stitch around fabric leaving a 1 - 2 inch opening at the bottom
• Turn right side out, stitch closed opening, and press with hot iron
• Fold fabric in thirds. Pin bottom section in place to hold and stitch down both sides
• Using a sew on snap place one side of snap in middle of bottom portion of business card holder and stitch in place
• Stitch the other half of snap onto the inside of top flap in position to connect with the bottom portion of snap
• Next time someone wants your business card you'll not only have them available, but in your very own stylish card holder
