Introduction

when you use lens adapter to connect the other lens to NEX camera,please do not use the tripod mount port on the camera,If not,it may hurt your camera's lens mount,to connect the tripod with the lens adapter can prevent this damage,especially when you use a long or heavy lens.
If you need handheld shooting,the tripod connecting base on the lens adapter may disturb you. So you can just remove the base and block the holes with the plug to stop the light leak.
This adapter have a extra Pentax Takumar M42 inner ring that shown in left of the picture. you can change it with the bonus wrench:
the adapter has a rotatable inner ring.after you install the lens,loosen the screw on the adapter with attached allen wrench,you can adjust the scale of the lens towards any direction as you need:

Although the lens will fit physically, automatic diaphragm, auto-focusing, or any other functions will not operate correctly while using this adapter.
In this case "stop-down mode" will need to be used when metering since the lens does not have the ability to have its aperture controlled by the camera body. You can shoot with manual mode or aperture priority mode .
