Sowing: At a proper temperature(above 16 ^oC )

the seed can be sowed at any time of a year.

It takes only 50 to 60 days from sowing to blossoming.

It will be a little longer in autumn (60-80days), without any dormant period; 
Seed treatment: Cut a small hole on the sunken end of the seed; Be careful not to hurt the embryo.Get more details below.  
Seed germination: In the summer, keep the seed submerged  in water (20^oC-30^oC),and chang the water twice a day, It will germinate in 3~7 days and grow 2~3 small leaves in two weeks. 
Transplanting: Two weeks before transplanting the plant, put in a half basin of garden soil or soil without any chemical pollution, immerse the soil into the water and don't fertilize the plant. Carefully transplant the seedlings into the soil, each one in a basin. keep the leaves above the water surface.

First of all: to distinguish the two ends of the seed

 

  

Please kindly notice that there are two ends of the seed: the sticking-out one and the sunken one; the sunken one is the right end to be cut a little hole ,which will help the seed burgeon favoringly; 
You may rub away the shell of the sunken end on the ground, or break it with a pliers, or with a sharp knife, or you may also cut a little hole on the right end and submerge it in the water for some time and then cut off the shell on the end; but please pay attention not to cut too deep to hurt the kernel,1mm~2mm will be ok;
Note:
1, Don`t hurt yourself when cutting the seed.
2, Since the seed coat is very hard, cut it slowly until you are familiar with it;
3, Do not hurt the kernel inside.
When all these are ready, please put the seeds in the water and wait with patience

 

Note:
1, The temperature of the water should be kept above 30 C (86 F);
2, Changing the water twice a day, I usually do it once each morning and evening;
3, Make sure to have enough water to cover the seed(too much water is not good either);
4, The seed will germinate fast If the temperature is proper.

Five days later, the seed begins its germination

On the seventh day, it comes into a leaf 

 
From the seventh day on, it?ll be better to keep it under the sun; and you may begin to prepare the basin and soil to transplant the seeds;

 

 
The fourteenth day, the first leaf is open and the second one is on its way.
