This 8-camera DVR is easy to use and easy to set up thanks to clearly marked front panel buttons, back panel connectors, and a high quality easy to read manual (hard copy). It uses the latest H264 video codec for compression, records in CIF, D1 and half D1 mode, and has a multi-lingual on-screen menu. Use a VGA computer monitor or a composite monitor to watch your cameras and video playback. There's a spot monitor output as well. You can use the front panel buttons to program the DVR (has password access control to prevent unauthorized users) or the included infrared remote control. You can also program it remotely through a LAN or the world wide web.
