The FHC-2002-SM1/MM1Optical Modem is an all-in-one converter solution that is equipped with multiple interfaces to handle conversion between RS-232 to RS-422/485 and serial to fiber communication. It can be used for RS-232/422 point to point connections and RS-485 multi-drop applications for transmitting signals up to 40KM, and is the best solution for applications where transmission must be protected from electrical exposure, surges, lighting or chemical corrosion in the industry environment. Note that the RS-232 and RS-422/485 interfaces can not be used simultaneously when converting to optic fiber mode.
